You are not broken.

You already have inside you the resources that you need. I’m here to help you get to know those resources.

I am a psychotherapist who uses the creative arts to help people unlock access to their emotions. Instead of having a conversation about your feelings, I help you to experience your feelings directly.

My practice as a licensed creative arts therapist and board-certified music therapist is rooted in humanistic tradition and informed by current neuroscience research. Anyone can benefit from music therapy, an allied health profession that treats both the head and the heart. You don’t need to be a musician!

I make use of a variety of approaches, including:

  • EMDR, a form of psychotherapy that treats both single-event and developmental/complex trauma;

  • Music and Imagery (MI), a powerful technique for getting in touch with your unconscious self; and

  • Therapeutic songwriting, a process of self-expression and of self-discovery.
